Shadow Inflorescence
Shadow Inflorescence is an installation by Jason Bruges Studio in Keskidee Way within the Kings Cross redevelopment, London. It builds on the body of work by JBS that use technology to create impressions of natural phenomena.
Format provided structural engineering design to the project from the concept stage through to fabrication detailing and installation including developing foundation designs that fitted between the dense service runs located below ground. The primary requirement was to maintain an light and elegrant structure while supporting the lighting installations that create unique light & shadow effects at night.
Fabrication was by Littlehampton Welding Ltd and detailed foundation design was by Foundation Piling.
