Design Transactions
The book “Design Transactions: Rethinking Material Modelling for a New Material Age” is the outcome of the final Innochain conference and presents work from the Innochain Network particpants, their industry partners and other practitioners. The book can be downloaded FREE from UCL Press .
Format Director James Solly was a researcher within the Innochain Network between 2015 and 2018 working on the use of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymers at the Institute for Building Structures and Structural Design (ITKE) at the University of Stuttgart, where he continues to work toward his PhD.
The book contains two sections written by James (in collaboration with others) and several other images of his work throughout. Format remain fascinated by the possibilities of designed structural materials that are built-up through advanced manufacture.
